Troubleshooting
1) My nappy is leaking: what’s wrong?
Time: How long has the nappy been on the baby before starting to leak?
Primary cause of leaking: All nappies will leak when they are full!

- Change the nappy regularly or add an additional soaker or booster for extra absorbency.
- Change the nappy:
-
Every 2-3 hours for Minkee
-
Every 3-3.5 hours for Bamboo
-
Over 3.5 hours only if you use a general booster or night time booster
-
During periods of heavy wetting for various reasons (teething) we suggest using a general booster (available to purchase separately)
Nappy size: What size setting are the poppers on?
Nappy could leak if it does not fit well enough on the baby. It has to be snug around baby’s legs and waist.
That’s why the popper setting is so important! The weight guide is an approximate guide only, as all babies come in different shapes and sizes, we’ll recommend you to use your judgment about when you need to change the poppers position so that the nappy will perfectly fit.
Inner parts: Which inserts do you use? Are they totally soaked? Are there still dry areas?
Most parents use just the soaker to begin for keeping the bulkiness to a minimum. The nappy should be used with the integral booster when the baby is a few weeks old.
We suggest you add the night time booster when your baby is 4-5 months or begins sleeping through. We suggest you combine our inserts according to your baby's wetting needs. If the nappy is still saturated then the baby needs more absorbency: add a bamboo night time booster or a general booster. If your nappy is leaking but not saturated it could indicate a fit issue (See Nappy size).
Care and wash: How do you wash and dry your nappies?
Make sure you pre-washed the bamboo inserts at least twice before using to improve absorbency (it may take 5 washes to reach full absorbency)
Please refer to our washing instructions and particularly the special precautions. If you are using the wrong detergent (see Washing Instructions) these may adversely affect the performance of your nappy. Detergent can cause buildup which reduces absorbency. To strip the nappies we suggest a cold pre-wash followed by a 60 degree cycle replacing detergents with washing up liquid. You need to rinse until the bubbles disappear and repeat if necessary.
