Where you are a registered on-line account holder, you may access and update your data contained in your on-line account. Please ensure you update your data as soon as possible with any and all relevant changes.

What information do we collect and why?

When you set up an online account with us or place an order with us either online or by telephone we collect the following information from you:

  • Telephone number
  • Email address

We also collect this data when you make a complaint or enquiry or provide other feedback to us, or when you submit an entry to a competition or prize draw, or sign up to a newsletter.

How do we use your data?

We use your data to:

  • process the registration of your online account and maintain your online account
  • process and complete orders you place via our website or over the telephone
  • process and deal with any complaints or enquiries made by you
  • monitor, develop and improve the site and your experience
  • send you newsletters and updates by email and/or post about special offers and information, but only where expressly consented to by you
  • publish or otherwise make available a list of prize winners if you are a prize winner

To opt-out of receiving any newsletters containing information or special offers you can amend your preferences within your online account, or use the opt-out facility noted in any of our communications, or by emailing us office@closeparent.com to request this.

Your request to be removed from our email address list may take up to 5 working days. You may receive emails that are in progress during this time.

Please note that if you place an order on our website we will still email you purely for the purposes of processing your order unless you opt in to our newsletters.

We will keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, for the settlement of any potential disputes which may arise or otherwise in accordance with legal requirements. The longest we will normally hold any personal data is 6 years.

Sharing Data with third parties

Our service providers and suppliers: We may need to share your data with some of our service providers in order to administer your online account and orders. These may include IT, delivery and marketing service providers.  

Other third parties:

We never sell or rent your data to other organisations for marketing purposes. We may share your data with third parties involved in prize draws or competitions where you have expressly consented that we may do so.
